And of course ensure that it also looked good! Our approach was to take a holistic view of the organisation and the end-to-end journey of their products, from purchase to fulfillment. To do this, we introduced integration processes that talked directly to their Accounting and Distribution Systems, so this was no longer a time-consuming manual process. With the volume of expected sales, choosing a trusted payment gateway was also paramount. The Commonwealth Bank payment gateway was integrated with WebDirector™ to take credit card payments through the website. In addition to the website, we built a platform for Strandbags’ customer loyalty program. This database holds customer details, purchase history and points allocation. An integrated email system was also set up to communicate with members in the loyalty program.

The Result The Strandbags website and customer loyalty program has achieved phenomenal growth in a short period of time. Within the first two weeks from launch the website had over 57,000 visits and the customer loyalty program had over 30,000 people join up. Within 12 months the number of customers has reached an impressive 700,000!
Email campaigns are run concurrently to promote the new website through WebDirector™ email marketing system to over 1,400,000 people per month.
